Most workdays run on tight windows. It is not enough to arrive on time. Loads also have to come off quickly and safely so crews can make the next stop without losing momentum. That is why many of our commercial trucks come with liftgates already installed and ready to work.
Whether you are moving palletized freight, equipment, supplies, or staged deliveries, the right liftgate can reduce strain on your crew, speed up stops, and help keep routes predictable.
Quality liftgates, maintained in-house
Liftgates only help when they work the way they should, every time. Our in-house maintenance team inspects and tests liftgates as part of the same process used to keep our fleet work-ready. When a truck returns to the lot, it goes through a full check so the next customer is not starting their day with surprises.
Many customers find that once liftgates become part of the routine, loading and unloading becomes smoother, faster, and easier on the team, especially on days with multiple stops or street-side drops.
Picking the right liftgate for the job
Different routes and delivery environments call for different liftgate styles. We offer multiple liftgate types across our fleet, and our team can help match the right setup based on how you load, where you deliver, and what your crew is moving.
- Tuck-under liftgates slide underneath the truck when not in use. This keeps the rear clear for forklifts and allows trucks to back into loading docks without an obstruction.
- Rail liftgates mount to the rear of the body and store flat against the back of the truck. They provide a large, level platform and are often a strong fit for street-side loading and unloading where stability matters.
- Cantilever liftgates use a tilting platform that can help keep cargo level when terrain is uneven. The platform can support loading from the rear or the sides, depending on the setup.
We commonly carry liftgates from Palfinger and Maxon, two brands known for durability and ease of use. Many liftgates in our fleet are pallet-sized, which covers the majority of day-to-day commercial deliveries. If you have a specific request for liftgate style or brand, tell us up front and we will guide you to the best available match.
